Installing Casitka Digital Twin
A quick, friendly walkthrough for Windows and macOS. Version 1.5.1.
You may see a one-time security prompt — that's expected and safe
Casitka isn't signed with a publisher certificate just yet, so the first time you install it your computer shows a brief “unknown developer” message. It's your operating system being careful about a brand-new app — not a sign anything is wrong. The download comes straight from Casitka over a secure connection, and every future update installs automatically and is verified for you.
On Windows
- 1Double-click the file you downloaded.
- 2If a blue “Windows protected your PC” box appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
- 3Follow the prompts. When it finishes, Casitka opens and you sign in.
On macOS
- 1Open the downloaded file and drag Casitka Digital Twin into your Applications folder.
- 2The first time you open it, if macOS says it's from an unidentified developer, right-click the app and choose Open — or open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
- 3After that first time, it opens normally whenever you want.
Common questions
Is this a virus warning?
No. It only means the app isn't signed with a paid publisher certificate yet. The download is from Casitka over a secure connection.
Will I see this every time it updates?
No — only on the very first install. Updates arrive automatically and are verified, so they install quietly in the background.
When does the prompt go away?
As soon as we add a publisher certificate. You won't need to do anything when that happens — your app keeps working and updating.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10 or 11, or macOS 12 and later. A microphone is needed for voice features.
